The 2010 MN State Championships ended with another exciting day of squash in which 9 champions were crowned. A good number of spectators throughout the day witnessed some great action whether it was for the Consolation, 3rd, or Championship matches. This year we had the added attraction of a Women's, 60+ and 50+ draws - something that hasn't happened in quite a few years. One of the closest matches was the 3.0 final in which 3 of the 4 games went past the Par 11 score. Below are your reigning champions for 2010. The results of all the matches are in the attached excel file - you must be logged on with a user name and password to view.
Thanks again to all 84 participants, our sponsors - CNC Mortgage (Carlos Gutierrez), Premium Waters (Bill Scott), the U of MN Rec Center (Matt Johnson and his crew), the few of you who came early to ref (Rob Lawrence, Tim O'Toole, Rob Warren, Lance Witzig, and Chris Kauffman are some that I can remember), and the few of you who reffed several matches due to "disappearing" refs.
We at the MSA hope everyone had a great time. Should you have any ideas/suggestions on what we can do to improve any aspect of the Championships or the MSA in general, let any Board member know. The same applies should you have the time and desire to help the MSA in any capacity and/or want to serve as a Board member.
